Three weeks ago after the Players-Owners meetings, we found out Bill Daly instructed the NHLPA that the offer had been taken off the table. As I wrote the following week, I wasn’t buying it. According to reports, the NHL submitted a new proposal to the NHLPA that was essentially the same. I was right.

Board of Governors Meeting

Last night, Bill Daly said the two sides would meet this morning before the board meeting. That didn’t happen, but don’t be alarmed. The two sides did however touch base before the Board of Governors meeting. They agreed it was best to wait until later, as not to rush for either meeting.
